Ras Hankorab eco beach
This pristine beach was saved from the unsustainable activities of mass tourism through the implementation of these visitor facilities which regulated its use and helped park staff manage its conservation.
This intervention at Wadi El Gemal National Park included the design and construction of ecologically sensitive visitor facilities at this pristine beach. The work included directional and behavioral signage, marked tracks, shaded areas, environmentally friendly toilets, seating, garbage separation bins and local community handicraft sales outlets.
* The construction of these facilities was made possible with the support of EEAA, UNDP, EPASP and SEPA projects
